Using Twitter is kind of a drag because you have to check the Twitter site all the time. However, I found a cool, free program that gets Twits and brings them into Outlook. It’s called TwInbox.
It adds a toolbar to Outlook and allows you to read and post Twits from Outlook. Ahhh… much better.

I’m always on the lookout for good tools for entrepreneurs. Frank Demmler from Carnegie Mellon has developed a simple model for allocating equity in a start-up company called the Founders’ Pie Calculator.
Its easy to use and fairly distributes the equity.
I’m working on my own model that is more complex, but takes into account changes over time. More [...]

One of the great things about a start-up company it the opportunity to create a great brand. A great brand is like a club that everybody wants to be a member of. A great brand transcends the product or service the company provides and creates its own attraction. The Customers, or members, appreciate the company [...]

Two fine fellows set out to make $1 million in a year. They both write their business plans and get started. A year later the first fellow has made $500,000 and the second fellow made $10,000,000. Which one is the better businessman?

I learned a lot about the college admissions process when I was at Cappex. Part of my job was to develop content for the site (we eventually hired a guy to do it for us). We developed a blog and a Podcast. I got a little carried away with writing and [...]
